The Council Family Beam is an addition to the Council Family series and is the ideal seating option for relaxed furnishing in a professional setting. This sleek and sophisticated piece features high-quality cushioning and a contoured backrest to provide maximum comfort and support. It is available in a graphite powder-coated finish, and its durable construction and quality materials are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use.
The seat and back can be upholstered in textile, leather, or a combination of both, and its elegant shape can be further accentuated by selecting different colors or materials for the interior and exterior surfaces.

Council Family Series

Despite its light and elegant expression, the bench stands remarkably robust and stable. The minimal contact surface with the floor also makes cleaning and maintenance significantly easier. Drawing on the core design principles of the original Council family, the piece embodies refined simplicity and functional durability. The frame comes exclusively in graphite powder, emphasizing a clean and cohesive appearance suited for professional and public settings.
Design Alignment with the Original UN Council Chair
The Council Family Beam draws its form and ergonomic principles from the original Council Chair created for the UN Trusteeship Council Chamber. In connection with the chamber’s refurnishing, OneCollection manufactured and delivered both the relaunch of the original Delegates Chair, FJ 51, designed by Finn Juhl, and the modern secretariat chairs and tables designed by Kasper Salto and Thomas Sigsgaard.
