Sustaining Local Production
Over the past 25 years, our production operations have found their home in our dedicated workshop, strategically situated in Ringkøbing on Denmark’s west coast. This workshop holds a central place within our organization, located adjacent to our headquarters and warehouse.Â
Moreover, we have recently expanded our Danish production capabilities by acquiring a factory with a history spanning more than a century. We firmly believe that minimizing unnecessary transportation of furniture across continents is a crucial step towards a more responsible and sustainable future.
Over the years, we have expanded and brought more production processes in-house, while also increasing the number of dedicated craftspeople. Our workshop in Ringkøbing is where we have accumulated a wealth of expertise, including a substantial joinery and, more recently, an upholstery workshop.
Our enduring ambition has always been to maximize our in-house production within Denmark. In pursuit of this commitment, we recently welcomed Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik, a respected solid wood furniture factory established in Vejen in 1919, into the OneCollection family in 2022. This strategic decision allows us to manufacture the majority of our collection within Denmark, in alignment with our core values and future ambitions, while enhancing our production capabilities.
Schou Andersen Møbelfabrik specializes in crafting solid wood furniture primarily intended for healthcare institutions, including hospitals and nursing homes. Today, the Vejen workshop plays a crucial role in producing an expanding part of the Finn Juhl collection.
Our unwavering commitment to uncompromising quality and enduring functionality remains steadfast. Whether it’s one of Finn Juhl’s iconic designs, a contemporary creation for a modern office, or a specialized piece for a healthcare facility, our aim is always to deliver the highest standards of quality. To us, this endeavor is a solemn tribute to every facet of life, no matter how small.
